How ASIC mining profitability is calculated
Daily revenue is your share of network hash rate multiplied by the coins the network issues per day, valued at the current coin price. Daily profit then subtracts electricity: watts ÷ 1000 × 24 × your $/kWh. Nothing else is deducted, so pool fees (typically 0.5–2%) and hardware depreciation come off the figure shown here.
What the presets cover
The quick-select buttons cover 15 ASIC models across SHA-256 (Antminer S9, S19, S19 Pro, S21), Scrypt (L7), KHeavyHash (KS3, KD6) and other algorithms. Hash rates and wattages are manufacturer figures at stock settings; real output varies with ambient temperature, firmware and power-supply efficiency.
Why some ASICs return no result
A preset shows no row when WhatToMine tracks no mineable coin on that algorithm. That is a data-coverage gap rather than a verdict on the miner — check the coins database for what is currently tracked, or the hardware profit ranking to compare devices directly.
